Nama got the girls new jammies and when I looked at them I just KNEW that they were going to be too big. (they were 2T and 9 months) I went ahead and tried them anyways and they fit perfect. I guess my girls are bigger than I realize. They are growing up TOO FAST!!!

Fall Updates

What's new...

Kaci is now totally mobile! She crawls (army crawls actually) and is very fast.

She has learned to pull herself up to EVERYTHING and even walks along the couch holding on. I am not sure I am quite ready for TWO mobile children but she obviously has a different plan.

She has three little teeth and about three more on the verge of breaking through. She babbles constantly, but the only real 'words' are 'da-da' and 'hi' which she does with a wave if you catch her at the right moment.

We got Mackenzie into a big girl bed.

We figured when she jumped out of her crib, it was time. She moved into what was the playroom and it is decorated in Pink and Zebra.

SHE LOVES IT! She is so proud of her big bed and is such a good sleeper!

She has only fallen out once (it is a twin but very low to the ground) and never gets out of bed in the morning until we come in to get her. It is very cute and once I get the last of the wallpaper border up I will take pictures. Since Kenz went into a big bed, Kaci got the crib. She too is in her own room now.

Ryan and I actually have a room with no babies in it, it is kind of weird still. Kaci has a very cute 'garden' and pink gingham room which will be painted shortly (one thing at a time).

Mackenzie is still in dance class and Ms. Cindy informed us today at class that she needs to be moved to the Tiny Tot Movers class. That is the 2 and up class but she said she is ready...no more dancing for mommy! :)

She looks forward to Thursday every week because we have dance and Sunday every week for church. She loves playing with the kids and never sheds a tear...she actually could care less if I leave now! Kaci was moved from the infant room to the crawler room at church a few weeks ago even though she has been crawling for months. I think one of the infant nursery leaders didn't want to let her go!

Ryan is now at Station 3 on a temp spot. He really likes who he works with and at least gets to sleep most nights! Pop Warner is winding down with only a couple of games left. Of course they have had another successful season.

Cheer has been busy with Crystal on bedrest but I have really enjoyed getting to be so involved. It is long hours but so worth it. Competition season starts this Saturday so it won't be slowing down anytime soon!

All is well with the Sharp Family and I can't wait for the Holidays to get here. It is going to be so much fun with the two girls! Until next time....

Well, Halloween was so much fun! Mackenzie was a Pumpkin Princess

and Kaci was a Green M&M. I took the girls and got professional pictures in their costumes because I just couldn't stand how cute they were in them

(those will be coming soon). On Halloween we decided to have all the grandparents come over for dinner and then trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. They all wanted to see the girls and it was easier than driving all over town. We had a good time pulling the girls around the neighborhood in their wagon and Mackenzie had trick-or-treating mastered very quickly!

She was very polite and would say "trick-or-treat" when they answered the door then take piece of candy for Kaci's pumpkin and a piece of candy for her pumpkin and tell them "thank you, Happy Hawwowween!"

In September we went to Coronado to visit Grandma Karla, Larry & GG. We had so much fun. We got to take the girls to Sea World again and of course Mackenzie had a blast getting to see Shamu!

Mackenzie also started Dance Classes. She is in "Mommy & Me" which is for 2 and under and I get to participate with her! She is doing very well!

Kaci had her 6 month checkup and everything was GREAT! The doctor couldn't believe how well she could sit up, crawl and "talk". Of course her first word was 'da-da', that was Mackenzie's too. She is in the 60% for her height and 40% for her weight and very healthy!

What's new witht he Sharp Family?

Well, Ryan took a long-term temp spot at Station 3 (15th Ave. & Van Buren).
He will be there till around September of 2010. It will be nice for him not to lug his stuff to and from work everyday and call in every morning to see where he is going...

The girls are both doing GREAT! Kaci had her 4 month check-up and grew 3 pounds and 3 inches since her 2 month check-up. She is in the 60% for Height and 40% for weight which is almost the exact opposite of where Mackenzie was at 4 months!

Since home from Vacation we have watched our Shamu DVD about 150 times and Mackenzie is constantly running around the house yelling, 'Na-Mu' and looking out the windows trying to see the ocean...oh I only wish it was out the window!

The School District I sub for is starting Monday so hopefully there will be some jobs to fill. Cheer is keeping me busy, we have choreography the second week of August so I will be living at the school :) I have quite a few parties on the book, so here comes the busy fall! Bring it on!

Pop Warner Football starts Monday night. Ryan is coaching his little brother Jake, along with his dad adn Kyle. I am not doing business manager this year because I have too many things going on. Of course, I will be at everygame though!

The girls are both getting so big and developing such amaznig personalities! I taught Mackenzie to say "Terrible Twos" since I think that is what we may be starting...Kaci is a non-stop smiler and at the risk of jinxing it...a GREAT sleeper! I am going to start working on their rooms this month to get Mackenzie in a big kid bad and Kaci in her room. My hopes are to have both rooms done by the end of August- we'll see!

San Diego 2009

San Diego was a BLAST this year! We stayed in a house right on the boardwalk and it was perfect for the girls. We had our own patio and a deck upstairs so there was plenty of room for Mackenzie to run around and not get too far. The girls slept like angels in a room together (I was most nervous about the sleepign arrangments). It was just a fun week, and so nice to get out fo the heat. We did the beach a coupl eof time but mostly hung out on our patio. We also did Sea World one day and Mackenzie LOVED it! I really believe she is going to be a huge animal lover! We saw the penquin exhibit so she got to finally "meet" her favorite character...HAPPY! (yes, his name is Mumble and the movie is Happy Feet, but she calls him happy). The Shamu show was great as always and we came home with the DVD as a souvineir which has been in the DVD player all week!!!

Mackenzie LOVED the Arctic Exhibit. We crawled through the Polar Bear Den and saw Beluga Whales and got to touch an ice wall. (it was a nice break from the heat too!)

Happy 4th of July

Yesterday was a BUSY day!
Ryan got home at about 8am from working 48 hours.
We get ready and headed over to see Grandpa Rick and Uncle Jakey.
We played and ate an early lunch and then around 12:30 headed over to see Grandma Karla
and Larry. Mackenzie AND Kaci went swimming.
It was Kaci's forst time in the pool and she seemed to really like it.
She floated on her back and just let me carry her all over the pool and never made a peep!
Kenzie practiced her swimming (with tears of course).
She did very well, I was worried she would have already forgotten
since it had been a few weeks since swimming lessons but she picked it right back up.
After swimming we headed over to Uncle Chris' house where all of my family was going for a BBQ & more swimming.
This time I only took Mackenzie to the pool, while Kaci stayed inside with Daddy.
She practiced some more, with MUCH less tears this time.
I even threw her in twice and she turned and swam to the edge!
We BBQ'd and hung out until the girls were absolutly exhausted about 6:30pm.
They of course feel asleep on the way home
and we took Kenz right to bed since she had NO NAP!
Kaci was out by about 7:30 so what did we do?
We went to bed!
Yup, it was about 8pm when we got upstairs and when we were in bed ready to sleep we could still see the sun poking in through the blinds.
It was AWESOME!
Kaci woke up at 3:30 for a quick bottle and then the girls slept until 7:45 this morning!
YEAH!
I got almost 11 hours of sleep.
Ryan had to work again this morning and is doing another 48hours.
So, it will just be us girls for 2 days. My car got a flat tire yesterday and
Discount Tire isn't open today so we are home bound
until tomorrow when I can get a new tire...Oh well!
Hope everyone had a Happy 4th of July!

....but it wasn't on purpose! I was looking back through my blog at old pictures of the girls and just so happened to see the "comments" at the bottom of some posts! I never even realized that they were there so for everyone who left a comment, SO SORRY! I had to go back through my whole blog to read all the nice things people had written. Not to mention, a few of them said things like, "I will be in town this weekend, we should hang out", or "Call me". What a jerk! Well, now I know to look for comments AND I am super excited I can leave comments on other people's posts too! Now, I just need to figure out how to get a list of all my 'friends' on my page....Help, I am Blogger Moron!

Mackenzie wanted Kaci to wear sunglasses like her (and she ALWAYS wears them!) So, she went and put one pair on herself then brought the other pair to me and tried to put them on Kaci so I helped her so noone lost an eye. I then made them sit onthe couch for a picture because it is just too cute to pass up.

UPDATE: Kenz had her 18 mo. check yesterday and she is 23 lbs. & 32 inches long. Everything looks great, growing like a normal girl. It was her last day of swimming lessons yesterday...which I'm sure she is very happy about! The rest of the fam is doing good, Ryan is back roving everyday so who knows where he will end up day to day. Cheer has been keeping me very busy lately with camps and practices, but I love it! Until next time....

Mackenzie's swimming lessons are now half over. She is doing really well. She still cries when it is her turn to swim but she is kicking really well (and straight now) and she is getting better at the "cat walk" and turning to find the edge. Last Thursday me, the girls and Nama went to Desert Ridge to hit up a Sale at Carter's, and ended up making a whole day of it. We luckily went to Carter's first and got the girls new swimming suits for this summer. On our way to find something to eat we found the fountains instead. Mackenzie of course wanted to go in the "watey". I put her new suit on her right there and let her have at it. While she was playing and making friends, Nama went and bought her a beach towel since we were not prepared at all! She played and played for over an hour until she was soaking wet and shivering. Getting her out of the water was not quite as fun but we managed to get her out dried off and ready for lunch. After some lunch we packed up to head home and Mackenzie and Kaci both were asleep in their car seats before we even got back on the freeway. They both slept better that night than they EVER have...I may be heading to the fountains more often! Here are some pictures.

Mommy was doing her make up tonight when Mackenzie became VERY interested. Every morning when getting ready I pretend to put blush and powder on Mackenzie because she wants some too. But tonight she was adamant about getting her make up done so I figured, why not? I let her pick all of her colors. She chose pink blush which she kept asking, "more, more, more" and then she chose a purple eye shadow and a red lipstick. She held very still while I put it on and was SO Proud of herself when she was all done and looked in the mirror!

Kaci's 2 Month Check and "Tour de Wickenburg"

Well, yesterday was an interesting day! We started the morning with baths for everyone and I ran off to show one of my listings. I rushed home so we could get to Kaci's doctor's appointment. She had her two month check up. She weighed 10lbs. 10oz. and was 22 1/4 in. long. Nurse Diane said she looked wonderful and everything was great. She got her first series of shots which caused both her AND Mackenzie to cry. It wasn't two minutes after we got in the car that both girls were asleep! When we got home Grandpa Johnny was in town because Cassidy had her 8th Grade Promotion in Wickenburg. So, Nama and Papa came over to watch the girls and Me, Ryan, Chris and my dad all headed up to Wickenburg. We had a very yummy Mexican lunch followed by watching a couple teenage girls get ready, a tour of Wickenburg (partially by car, partially on foot). We then enjoyed homemade ice-cream and some LandShark while people watching and listening to country music on a jukebox. We finished the afternoon with the whole reason we were there...Cassidy's Promotion. It was very nice and she was honored for her academics. Another hour and a half drive and we were home, both girls happy and sleepy! We watched a little American Idol and actually got a full nights sleep! (11pm-5:45am) Kaci is becoming such a good sleeper, I am so thankful! I have included a few pictures from our "Tour de Wickenburg". These are both outside what we referred to as 'the mall'.

The girls are both doing very good! Mackenzie is loving the word "NO" and has no problem telling me! Kaci is growing so fast and we go to her 2 month check up on Wednesday. Mackenzie always has a phone in her hand and constantly tries to let Kaci talk too. Mackenzie is still in gymnastics once a week and is such a little dare devil. She is starting to even like the bars! I will for sure post more pictures as they come!

I found this and LOVE it! Happy Mother's day to all you moms out there...

Today I left some dishes dirty,

The bed got made around 3:30.

The diapers soaked a little longer,

The odor grew a little stronger.

The crumbs I spilled the day before

Are staring at me from the floor.

The fingerprints there on the wall

Will likely be there still next fall.

The dirty streaks on those windowpanes

Will still be there next time it rains.

Shame on you, you sit and say,

Just what did you do today?

I held a baby 'till she slept

I held a toddler while she wept.

I played a game of hide and seek,

I squeezed a toy so it would squeak.

I pulled a wagon, sang a song,

Taught a child right from wrong.

What did I do this whole day through?

Not much that shows, I guess that's true.

Gymnastics, Sleeping, Biggest Loser, Station 15 and other new Sharp News...

Well, here are some Sharp Family updates in no particular order...

Kaci slept from 10:45pm until 5 am last night! That is a whole 6 hours & 15 minutes, and for us, that was WONDERFUL!!! It may have been in her swing (which we have resorted to putting in out room at night) but oh well, it was the best night sleep Ihave had in over 7 weeks!!!

Mackenzie started gymnastics a few weeks back, I think that today was actually her 4th class. She is in the Walkers-2yr old class and LOVES it! She walks on the balance beam, swings on the bars, crawls over the mats and her favorite is the trampoline...she is a WILD CHILD!!! No fear at all!

Ryan has been at Station 15 for about a month now. It is at 43rd Avenue and Camelback and he is getting plenty of action. He used to get a break when he went to work and get a full night sleep. Not anymore! He is up and down all night like me. He really likes having a spot for now and not having to move is bedding ad gear every shift!

We have The Biggest Loser Competition (Season 2) going on right now. Myself, and 10 other family and friends are in a 10 week competition to lose weight. There was a small buy-in fee and we weigh in every week and the person who loses the biggest percentage of weight in 10 weeks will win the prize money (and the weight). If you have seen the show, it is a lot like that but we don't vote anyone off every week...we are nicer than that! So far so good, so hopefully by June 20th all my baby weight and more will be gone!

Thank you, Wall, Please, Door, Step up, Kaci, No, More, Bologna, Apple, Nama, Bug, Dog, Papa, Uncle, Diaper, Poo-Poo, Pee-Pee, Ooh-WOW, Remote, Morning.....just a few of the new and not-so-new words that Mackenzie uses on a regular basis. She has become very talkative and REPETATIVE, so we must of course watch what we say! She also has a clear understanding of YES and NO and has no problem telling you what her opinion is on EVERYTHING!

We have started back to church in the last month or so and Mackenzie really likes it. SHe loves to go to Sunday School and play with the kids. So far, Kaci has slept through the service everytime so both Ryan and I were able to enjoy it. We are attending CCV and will start the Membership classes the next time they are offered!

I swear she was only unsupervised for a few minutes when I was feeding Kaci and I was only 20 feet away. Mackenzie had pizza and chocolate pudding for dinner, she ate the pizza and WORE the pudding! She had a bath about 30 minutes before dinner and then this happened. Needless to say, we had a second bath for the night! What a mess, mommy learned her lesson....

We had a great Easter yesterday! Daddy had to work unfortunatly so we went over to Nama & Papa's house for Lunch and an Easter egg hunt. Mackenzie LOVED finding the eggs. She conned Uncle Chris into hiding them over and over and over again...he was such a good sport! After the egg hunt, lunch and a nap (I even got to take one!) we went over to Grandpa Rick's house for dinner. Mackenzie & Kaci got more Easter presents and Kenz got to hunt for more eggs that Grandpa had hid for her. I thought Mackenzie would be tired of Easter by the end of the day but even as I was putting her to bed she was still asking "Where's eggs?" and saying "Happy Eee-Tah". Kaci of course slept through the majority of the day but looked just as cute in her Easter dress!

KACI LEIGH SHARP

Kaci is here! She arrived on Monday, March 16th 2009 @ 7:59pm. She weighed 6 lbs. 11oz and was 20 in. long. I had a very short and easy labor...luckily! We got to the hospital at 4:30pm and my doctor broke my water at 5:30pm. By 6:30pm I got my epidural and at 7:30pm I was dilated to a 10 and ready to push! I had to hold off until the doctor got there and after one (very small) push she arrived! It was much easier this time around! She is healthy and beautiful and we are home. Mackenzie loves her. She wanted to give her lots of kisses...and her apple juice & goldfish (at least she's sharing!) We are adjusting to the no sleep that comes with a newborn and double duty of two little ones. She is a great baby though, very quiet and a great eater. I've included a few pictures, more to come I promise!

So, it has been forever since I updated this...we obviously found out that we are getting another little girl in the family! She is due March 24th but has been trying to show up early. I was on bedrest from about 34-37 weeks because I was having so many contractions. I have been dilated to a 3 for 2 weeks now and hopefully at my appointment Monday we can speed things along. We are very anxious to meet her! I will be sure to post details when we have them...and pictures of course.

So hello everyone, I am totally new to this so bear with me. I hope to get the hang of it quickly and be able to keep family & friends who are far away updated on what's going on with our lives here in Arizona. As you can see from my Profile, things are BUSY! Between our jobs, coaching Cheer, Pop Warner Football, Mackenzie and everything else that comes up we definatly stay occupied. We are expecting a new addition to the family March 24th, 2009. We find out if it will be a boy or girl on October 20th so I will be sure to update you all. Mackenzie is growing SO FAST!!! She nearlyskipped over crawling all together and started walking at 8 1/2 months. She has 8 teeth, can say 'da-da', 'ma-ma', 'hi', and a large vocabulary of babbling. She is such a good baby but a bit of a night owl. We have decided we just probably aren't going to sleep for the next 3-5 year. Yikes! Speaking of night owl, I better go try and get to to bed, until next time....
